Step by Step

Make the most of this hang gliding experience in Rio de Janeiro. In an activity that lasts around two hours and for small groups of around 10 people, an instructor will accompany you at all times, including the flight. During your time in the air, you will be able to see numerous landmarks of this Brazilian city, such as Christ the Redeemer.

For this experience you will have to climb up to the Tijuca Forest National Park, located in the heart of Rio de Janeiro. From what is considered the largest urban forest in the world, you'll jump and glide alongside the instructor, where the first view you'll have is of the Atlantic Forest, which even extends into Paraguay and Argentina.

Among the places of interest you'll pass during your flight are:

  • Sugar Loaf Mountain: this mountain is said to be a historical landmark because the installation of the tramway in 1912 made it very popular all over the world. Not only that, the mountain's cable car system was put into operation for the first time in Brazil.
  • Rocinha Favela: This is the largest favela in Rio de Janeiro, with about 180,000 inhabitants.
  • Christ the Redeemer Statue: is a colossal statue of Jesus Christ on top of Mount Corcovado. It is one of the new seven wonders of the world.

The end of this trip will come in a gentle way on the white sand of Sao Conrado beach or also known as "cucumber beach". To have this experience as a souvenir, don't forget to ask for the photos and video to be recorded during your glide, as they will be included with your booking.
