Step by Step

Discover the Gravity Discovery Centre and Observatory in Perth with these tickets. Located in Gingin, about an hour north of the Australian city, you'll find this centre where you can take a closer look at space . You'll have the chance to take part in activities either in the morning or in the evening and be amazed by outer space.

The Gingin Observatory shares this special area of pristine bushland with the Gravity Discovery Centre. It features a fully retractable roof, state-of-the-art telescopes and an incredible dark sky, offering visitors a first-class astronomical experience.

Inside the Gravity Discovery Centre you will have the opportunity to visit several galleries, such as the Biodiversity Gallery, where you can get up close and personal with local flora and fauna. The south-western region of Western Australia is considered one of the world's biodiversity hotspots. The bushland surrounding the centre is inhabited by rare, wonderful and endangered plant and animal species.

One of the best exhibits you'll find is a cast of a skull of Trilobus, one of the largest marsupials ever to have existed and believed to have lived 50,000 years ago.

At the Discovery Centre visitors are invited to take a walk through the Solar System. This is a fun and educational one-kilometre scale model of the Solar System, which starts at the Sun and disappears along a track through native bushland. Along it, models of planets and their moons are placed at the correct scale distances from the Sun.

On each planet there are information plaques to guide you, as in the other galleries in the centre.
