This tour is ideal for those who want to explore some of Bangkok's most important cultural landmarks. For around 4 hours, you will walk through the city centre and visit several of the city's most important historical monuments .

Throughout the activity you will be accompanied by an expert guide, who will teach you about the city's heritage, as well as the history, culture and architecture of the places you will pass by. The main monuments you will visit during the tour are as follows:

  • Grand Palace of Thailand: it was built in 1782 and is, since then, the official residence of the King of Thailand. The Grand Palace complex is an impressive example of Thai architecture, and is composed of several buildings and temples. The main building is the Throne Hall, which has been used for the coronation of Thai kings.

The complex is also famous for its gardens and ponds, as well as for the museums it houses, which display a multitude of royal art and artifacts .

  • Temple of the Emerald Buddha: also known as Wat Phra Kaew, it is considered one of the holiest temples in Thailand. The temple houses the Emerald Buddha statue, a 66 cm high jade figure dating back to the 15th century. The temple also boasts beautiful gardens and impressive architecture that reflects Thai art and culture.
  • Reclining Temple: also known as Wat Pho, it is famous for its huge statue of the reclining Buddha, which is 46 metres long and 15 metres high. The statue is covered in gold and is one of the largest in Thailand. The temple is also known for its traditional Thai massage, which is taught and practised on the temple premises.
  • Wat Arun Temple: also known as the Temple of Dawn. The temple is renowned for its impressive Khmer-style architecture and decoration. It has a 79-metre high central tower decorated with glass and ceramic mosaics and surrounded by four smaller towers. It is possible to climb to the top of the central tower for a panoramic view of the river and Bangkok.

    Bangkok is a city of great contrast, with the temples you can see all the accumulated beauty and in the rest of the city you can feel the warmth of the people, it is a very busy city full of traders everywhere, it is impressive.
