This tourist pass is very simple to use. You need to specify the type of pass you want (1, 2, 3 or 5 days) and make the purchase online. You will then receive a QR code on your mobile phone, which you must scan at the ticket office of the attraction visited or when taking one of the best tours of Stockholm included in the pass.

You should know that the pass works as a voucher, so it is subject to a specific credit, that is, it has a maximum amount of money according to the number of days. Therefore, you can visit as many attractions as you wish until you reach the value of the card.

The pass is activated when you scan it for the first time. For example, when you visit the Viking Museum in Stockholm or take a sightseeing bus tour of Stockholm, it will be activated automatically. From then on, the digital card will be valid for 24, 48, 72 or 120 consecutive hours. Unactivated passes are valid for up to a couple of years.

Buying the Stockholm Sightseeing Pass is convenient when you want to visit the city's main attractions without spending too much money. Basically, you will save up to 50% when it comes to buying tickets individually. It is also suitable if you want to take part in boat trips, kayaking activities and other experiences.

For example, a 24-hour pass is worth around €65 and gives you access to a number of places, such as the Vasa Museum, the Nobel Museum, the Nordic Museum, Stockholm Cathedral, the Fotografiska Museum, the Royal Palace, the sightseeing bus and more. But, if you use the €65 for individual tickets, then you would only be able to access about three destinations, for example: the Royal Palace, the sightseeing bus and the Skansen Open Air Museum in Stockholm.

Another convenient aspect of these tourist passes is that they are electronic. Therefore, all you need to do is scan the QR code from your mobile phone screen at the attraction's ticket office. This way, you'll avoid the hassle of exchanging money or worrying that your credit card won't be accepted at the attraction.

This tourist pass may not be suitable if you plan to travel to Stockholm in November through March, i.e. during the winter season. Throughout this period many attractions close their doors or reduce opening hours due to weather conditions and this could certainly limit your itinerary.

In fact, there are several boat tours that do not operate in winter. Such is the case of the boat tour offered by the Stockholm sightseeing bus, which corresponds to the green route, speedboat excursions and other cruises in the archipelago. In addition, museums such as Vaxholm Fortress, the Drottningholm Palace Theatre and others are closed.

Also, until March in Stockholm you will find many free activities, which could make the tourist card less attractive, as it is designed to save money on your itinerary. Therefore, it's best to take a look at the schedules of the attractions offeredon Stockholm's all-inclusive pass and, depending on your tastes, time, budget and needs, decide whether it's right for you.

The Swedish capital has a unique tourist card, better known as the all-inclusive Stockholm Go City Pass. As I have already mentioned, this is an electronic voucher with which you can access all the attractions and activities you want for a certain period of time.

With this pass you must take into consideration that, according to the number of days purchased (1, 2, 3 or 5), you will have a fixed credit with which you will be able to visit the attractions. However, this does not mean that they are different tourist passes, since with any of these options you can access the same museums, monuments, tours, excursions and experiences.

For example, with the 1-day pass you will have a credit of approximately €225, while the 2-day pass has a maximum amount of about €385. The 3-day pass in Stockholm is about €519 and the 5-day pass credit is at least €761.

Tips on how to get the most out of your Stockholm Sightseeing Pass

If you've decided that you'd like to purchase the Stockholm Sightseeing Pass for your visit to Stockholm, then there are a few basic tips to help you get the most out of this popular e-pass.

Don't visit on the spur of the moment

Stockholm Sightseeing Cards are a great tool for exploring many attractions, but if you do your sightseeing on the spur of the moment, you will end up wasting time and not taking full advantage of what the e-pass has to offer. It is therefore important that you plan your time in the city, especially if you are in Stockholm for a short period of 1 or 2 days.

Ideally, before your trip, you should make a small itinerary of the attractions and activities you want to visit during your stay. You should then organise them according to their location and times. This way, you won't have to run from one place to another in search of each destination.

Use the Tourist Card mobile app

With the Stockholm All Inclusive Pass or, as it is commonly known, Stockholm Tourist Card, you will have a mobile application that will allow you to monitor everything related to your pass.

You will have access to the list of attractions and information on each of the museums, monuments and destinations included in the card. You will also be able to use a map of the city to find out the distance between each of the attractions and the quickest access routes to get around the city.

Check attraction opening times

Checking the opening times of the attractions offered by the tourist card is something you can't miss. Depending on the time of year, you will find destinations with reduced or extended opening and closing times, which can affect the rhythm of your itinerary.

For example, if you are in Stockholm in winter and plan to visit the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm, it will be closed on Mondays, open on Tuesdays (11:00 to 20:00) and the rest of the week from 11:00 to 17:00. This is in contrast to the summer season, which is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00.

Also, please note that some activities are closed on Swedish public holidays. You don't want to activate your card on a day when opening hours are limited.
