Step by Step

A visit to the Stockholm Toy Museum generates both awe and nostalgia. Don't hesitate to explore this collection of more than 40,000 toys of the most varied types and styles. Dolls, comics, action figures, cuddly toys, cars, trains and board games are just some of the pieces you can find on the tour and in the exhibitions.

You can also put yourself to the test playing pinball or the legendary Space Race and learn about the history and evolution of the most legendary toys up to the present day.

The exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, are arranged thematically and chronologically, making it very interesting to see the journey through time of the different toys. In addition, you will find screens with very detailed explanations in different languages.

The building that houses this museum is also worth seeing, as it used to be a secret military building in the 1940s. A dynamited tunnel inside a mountain that served as a bunker for the Swedish Navy after the Second World War.

The whole museum itself is very well designed and organised. There are different zones for the type of game and it was great to know every detail of it.

I had a great day, probably one of the most memorable days of my visit to Stockholm. Some of the toys even made me nostalgic! I would come back without hesitation.

The price was very affordable and we had the opportunity to see collectible toys that I never imagined I would see.

Great option whether you go alone or as a couple, it's not necessarily exclusive for children! It is a different and unique museum.
