Definitely among the best things to do in Vigo is a night out, no matter if it's a tour of Vigo's architecture or an endless weekend party, Vigo offers something for everyone, from quiet plans to more daring ones.

I want to show you some of my favourite plans not only in the city of Vigo itself, but also in the surrounding cities such as Tui and Pontevedra. In the case of Vigo city, you won't believe the kind of plans you can make, and if you let yourself get carried away, you might end up on the coast fishing by the light of the street lamps.

Both day and night in Pontevedra is an excellent time to visit this town and embark on one of the best excursions from Vigo to get to know it and enjoy it to the fullest. But as soon as night falls, the bars in the historic centre start to fill with life and people who want to eat and have a drink.

Once you know this, you will surely love to visit Pontevedra and its cobbled streets at night, to get to know its nightlife. The night in Pontevedra starts with some albariños and tasting the traditional Vigo food in the different typical Spanish restaurants.

This is the main attraction of the city at night, but you can also see how the different buildings in this town are illuminated during the night. Pontevedra is a lively town at night, which offers live music in many of its venues and also boasts an excellent gastronomic offer.

Interesting details

The town of Bouzas is not just for visiting during the day, you can also come here at night to enjoy the promenade at the northern end of the town. One of the best things about enjoying the early evening in this place is the quality of its tapas and the freshness of its wines.

On the other hand, the view on the Paseo Litoral de Bouzas in the evening hours is really one of the best you can see in this town. The promenade is approximately 3 kilometres long, so this can qualify as a good walk if what you want is a place to walk a bit and clear your mind. It is one of the quieter plans.

As for the tapas, there are some restaurants located in one part of the promenade that are one of the best bets to start the night, thanks to the crowded atmosphere and the rich gastronomic offer that these places have to offer.

Interesting details

The city's best bars, traditional tapas at great prices and the most fashionable international drinks, as well as the latest music hits, are all part of what you can experience in Casco Vello. It's a real all-in-one option if you want to experience the nightlife at its best.

The atmosphere can change considerably from one venue to another. In some you can enjoy tapas on open-air terraces to enjoy the view. Moreover, the view from Samil beach is one of the best in the city. This beach is located a few kilometres from Vigo and is one of the best options to enjoy the urban coast. You can start the tour by taking a leisurely stroll along the beach and then drink wine and eat tapas on the terraces, or vice versa.

This is one of the best plans, especially if you go with your partner, but of course it is also a good plan to do with your family, just before returning to your accommodation to rest. The Churruca is one of the best-known and busiest party atmospheres every weekend night in Vigo. As such, there's no better place to party in the city than this one. It's a street very close to Vigo's historic centre, where you can find a lot of restaurants.

As well as different restaurants, you can also find any number of places to enjoy the night, listen to music and celebrate with friends. Of course, you should know that this is an alternative music venue, so if you like rock, reggae or indie music, a visit is almost mandatory.

Each venue on this street can have its own personal style, which you will notice as soon as you enter. Most of them offer free entry, and you only have to pay for your drinks inside.

Interesting details

Many of the best tours of Vigo show the architectural beauty that floods the city. But at night, the **city'**s great monuments, sculptures and buildings turn into different shades, they have their own illumination and shine by themselves, so on this tour you'll have the opportunity to get to know that particular nocturnal glow.

Depending on what you want to see in the city, there are free tours that are ideal for getting to know Vigo's architecture at night. The City Council of Vigo also offers the possibility of self-guided tours, using the QR codes that appear on each of the historic buildings.

The information you need to know about each of the places you'll visit will be contained in the information booklet that you'll have available at all times on your phone. These tours offered by the City Council are free of charge and the recommendation is to do the self-guided tour in the early evening.

Interesting details

  • Price: These types of tours are usually free of charge.
  • Schedule: If you do the free tour of Vigo, you'll have to coordinate the schedule with your guide. If you do a self-guided free tour, then you can do it at any time you want.
  • How to get there: I recommend doing the tour by private car, or you can also do it on foot because most of the architectural works to be visited are located in the centre of Vigo.

Strolling around the Real Club Náutico Marina is one of the best things to do at night because you can see the gardens located in the avenues by the sea, definitely one of the most peaceful experiences to start the night. In these landscaped areas you can take as many photos and selfies as you like.

It is also an excellent walk to see the fishing work of the amateur fishermen who choose this place to fish for cuttlefish. It is a beautiful scene to admire because all this happens under the light of the street lamps.

If you dare to do it and you have the gear, you can also try to catch some fish. To fish here as an amateur you have to have everything you will need because there is no fishing equipment for hire here. It's a trip that you can even include among the best things to see and do in Vigo with children.

Interesting details

  • Price: It's priceless to go and enjoy the fishing enthusiasts, nor is it priceless to try to catch something on your own.
  • Hours: You can go on this trip from the afternoon until late at night. Although to see amateurs, you will have to do the trip around 20:00.

Alameda is one of the quietest places to visit at night. During the late afternoon and early evening, it is possible to find different pubs open to offer a good nightlife atmosphere, although quiet and without much musical variety.

Before night falls, it's possible to stroll along the Alameda with the kids, one of the best things to do with children in Vigo after work. Even if you're passing through as a tourist in Vigo, this is still a good plan to spend the early hours of the night.

As for pubs, they usually start opening from 18:00 or 19:00, offering a quiet, stately but also very active atmosphere. The gastronomic offer is quite varied, you will not only find traditional Spanish food, but also restaurants with Latin, Hawaiian and other flavours.

Interesting details

  • Price: The prices of tapas in these pubs can be between 4 and 18 euros.
  • Opening hours: You can find pubs open after 19:00 and until late at night.
  • How to get there: To get to the Alameda you can use public transport and you can also use a private car, because near these pubs you can find parking spaces.

Just like Calle Churruca, Calle Arenal also has its own charm that can hypnotise everyone who visits it. It is an excellent place to spend a night out with all the latest music releases. It is an exclusive area for dancing, partying and drinks. Arenal's nightlife is definitely the best to enjoy if you want a night out of control.

Most of the bars located in this street offer different types of tapas with national and imported ingredients. They also offer multiple drinks to liven up the stay of locals and visitors who come to Arenal in search of fun and entertainment at night. Going to this party street is an excellent plan to go with friends or with your partner.

One of the rhythms that you will find without fail in this street is the most fashionable Latin music. Generally this street is active every weekend, from Thursday to Saturday. There is no dress code, but I do recommend you to dress up for a party if you want to have a good time in this popular street.

  • Price: Each of the venues charges a different entrance fee according to the type of atmosphere they offer. Dining and tapas can be priced between 8 and 30 euros, depending on the place.

Boat trips are the order of the day in Vigo, especially because of the possibility of sailing along the city's estuary, so if there's one thing you can do during the night, it's to get on a boat to enjoy the best parties on board.

But you don't just have to attend a party, you can also have your own romantic date aboard a boat in the Vigo estuary. This is one of the best experiences you can have in the city, whether you go with friends or with your partner.

To live this experience you have two alternatives, the first is to rent a boat and sail along the estuary. The second option is to go on a boat trip around Vigo, fully guided and crewed.

Interesting details

  • Price: A boat trip at sunset can cost from 85 to 350 euros, depending on conditions.
  • Timetable: The timetable can be coordinated with the person you're going on the trip with if it's a guided trip. If it is on your own, you must coordinate the schedule with the person who will rent you the boat.
  • How to get there: To party or go on a night trip on a boat across the Vigo estuary, you'll have to get to the port, which you can do by private car, taxi or public transport.
