Experience Highlights

Skip the queue and visit one of Seville's most emblematic monuments, the Cathedral of Santa María de la Sede, crowned by the Giralda tower . The building, built between 1433 and 1507, was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987, along with the Alcázar and the Archive of the Indies.

Seville Cathedral is the largest cathedral in Spain and the third largest in the world, only surpassed by Milan Cathedral and the Basilica of Our Lady of Aparecida in Brazil. It houses the mortal remains of Christopher Columbus, as well as those of various kings of the Crown of Castile. It receives around 2 million visitors a year, making it the fifth most visited monument in Spain.

  • Visit the Cathedral of Santa María de la Sede, the largest in Spain.
  • Tour the interior of one of the country's most famous monuments and see the tomb of the man who discovered America.
  • Climb to the top of the Giralda and enjoy the views of Seville from above.

Step by Step

With these tickets you can enter the Cathedral of Santa María de la Sede, in Seville, without queuing up and climb up to its highest tower, the Giralda. The Cathedral was built on the site of a former Almohad mosque, which is why the building has a variety of architectural styles, such as Almohad, late Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. Since 1928 it has been a National Monument and since 1987, together with the Alcázar and the Archive of the Indies, it has been a World Heritage Site.

The Cathedral has a surface area of 11,500 square metres, which makes it the largest cathedral in Spain and the largest Gothic-style building of worship in Europe . It is also the third largest cathedral and the fifth largest Christian church in the world.

In the royal chapel of the cathedral lie the mortal remains of Christopher Columbus, as well as those of various kings of the Crown of Castile, such as Peter I, the Cruel, Ferdinand III, the Saint, and Alfonso X, the Wise. This makes the cathedral, together with the Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, one of the most important pantheons in Spain .

The Giralda is the name given to the cathedral's bell tower, which is about 95 metres high. It has similarities with mosques that preceded it, such as the Hasan Mosque in Rabat and the Kutubia Mosque in Marrakech, both dating from the 12th century. From the top of the Giralda, you can enjoy views of the whole of Seville, with the Torre del Oro tower shimmering on the banks of the Guadalquivir and the Andalusian countryside in the background.
