In Menorca sunset is the most beautiful moment of the day, and luckily there are countless places from where you can enjoy the sunset in a way that you won't find anywhere else in the world. Coves, beaches and viewpoints from which to witness the spectacle of colours that takes place between the sky and the waves of the sea every evening.

But also, the sunset is a time to get together and enjoy the essence of life, sharing special moments with others. One experience that revolves around this is the Sunset Jeep Safari Menorca Experience, a sunset Jeep tour of Menorca about which I'll tell you all you need to know in the following lines.

The Jeep Safari Itinerary

The route includes a visit to the Pedreres de S'Hostal, ancient stone quarries that have been shaped and built to become a landscaped labyrinth with impressive rock formations; paths through forests and meadows, which depending on the time of year will have one colour scheme or another; fields with archaeological remains and old mills with viewpoints overlooking the villages of Es Mercadal or Ferrerías; and ravines with inaccessible caves where a variety of birds of prey hide their nests.

Once you arrive at the private ranch in the north of the island, the final destination of the excursion, you will have the opportunity to observe the process of making artisan products such as butifarra sausage, cheese and bread in a wood-fired oven, and of course taste them with a glass of wine or a beer.

Free time to explore at your leisure

Something to bear in mind is that beyond the proposed route on this Jeep tour, you are free to explore a specific area or visit a point of interest on the island as part of the tour, and you will even be offered several privately accessible places to visit on request. And in case you are travelling to Menorca in a large group, it might be a good idea to do this excursion as a private experience, as you have the possibility to do so.

You will be picked up at your hotel

Oh, and a huge advantage of this excursion is that you will be picked up from your accommodation in Ciutadella or Mahon or wherever it suits you, or you can also meet the group in Es Mercadal.

On the way back, you will be dropped off at the same point of departure or in Fornells, which can be a good idea to spend the rest of the night in this little village in the north of Menorca. The organisers of the experience are quite flexible and open to provide you with any kind of comfort they can.

You can go alone, as a couple or in a group

The vehicles are either seven or nine seater, so bear this in mind when booking if you're travelling in a group.

Alex's Traveller Tip

If the weather is bad on the day of your experience, you can call to cancel or postpone the tour, but you don't have to - the Jeep tour is still available on rainy days and is usually one of the most popular activities on the island.

To book this experience you will need to indicate a date and number of participants. You will access the payment gateway and once it is validated you will receive a confirmation email (so make sure you give one that you use often).

Check that all the details are correct and save the email so that you have it to hand on the day of the excursion. You can also print out the confirmation for extra security in case you have any problems with your mobile phone during the trip.

The experience comes with free cancellation as long as you cancel at least 24 hours in advance. In this case you will receive 100% of the amount you have paid.

The tour is not cancelled due to bad weather, but in case you want to cancel or postpone a booking for this reason, you will not have any problem. Also, if you have any physical problems or are pregnant, please note that Jeep riding may involve a small risk due to the steepness of the roads used.
