The price will depend on the length of the tour and the boat you choose, but you can find a Cala Bassa and Cala Comte excursion from 55€ if you want to sail for half a day or an Ibiza Boat Excursion for 82€ Both options can be found online at Hellotickets.

Please note that there are also other options such as renting a boat without a skipper (in this case, either you choose a small boat that does not require a license to drive it) or you will have to present your skipper's license to rent it.

You can also rent a private boat with crew on board and pay by the hour or day, although this is usually the most expensive option.

If you plan to travel in summer, it is best to do it in advance and online: you can compare routes, prices, schedules and availability and choose the option that best suits your trip. During July and August the island's occupancy rate is usually 100% and boat trips are in high demand, so if you wait until the last minute it is very likely that you will be left without a place on the tour or at the time you want. On websites such as Hellotickets you can choose from several options and you have free cancellation if you have any last minute unforeseen circumstances.

Is it worth taking a boat trip in Ibiza?

Yes, especially in summer. Bear in mind that some of the best coves are inaccessible by car or will require you to get up very early in the morning if you want to find a parking space. A boat trip not only saves you the early start, but you can also enjoy the views of these spectacular coves, get away from the crowds on the sand and swim in the depths of the turquoise waters.

If you also choose an excursion like the one to Cala Comte and Cala Bassa or the one that takes you to Formentera, you will have the equipment for paddle surfing and snorkelling and you will also be served food, snacks and/or drinks on board, which will make you enjoy the day even more.

Boat trips usually take you to the most famous coves and beaches. In Ibiza, some of them are Cala Bassa and Cala Comte, Es Vedrà, Cala Jondal... If you decide to take a more complete excursion and go as far as Formentera, you will sail along the unspoilt beaches of Espalmador or Ses Illetes. Spectacular!

Cala Comte and Cala Bassa are undoubtedly two of the most famous coves on the Ibizan coast. But precisely for this reason they are two of the most popular with tourists, and the sand is often crowded, which spoils the experience. That's why visiting them by boat will give you the freedom to swim wherever and whenever you want, enjoy their turquoise waters without having to share space with too many tourists and relax in the sun contemplating the views.

Es Vedrà is another of the island's magical spots that is well worth a visit on board a boat. This completely uninhabited craggy stone islet has a magical aura that makes it a place of pilgrimage for many tourists and Ibizans who go there to enjoy a swim at its feet or a spectacular sunset.

And if you want to enjoy unspoilt beaches, the small neighbouring Formentera has Espalmador and Ses Illetes waiting for you to enjoy their fine, white sand and the clearest waters you can enjoy in the Mediterranean.

Snorkelling in Ibiza is a great option: the clean, transparent waters of Cala Compte and the purity of its seabed will allow you to see lots of colourful fish in their habitat. Some of the boat trips that take you around the island's coves include snorkelling equipment, so you won't have to worry about anything.

Any cove on the island is a good place to dive in with your goggles, but the more uninhabited and secluded the cove, the more chances you have to see underwater life roaming Ibiza's waters.

During your stay in Ibiza you can enjoy some of the best sunsets of your life. The sunset will catch you every day dancing non-stop from one of its beach clubs, on the cliff in front of Es Vedrà or, if you make it even better, on board a boat. Enjoying the last rays of sunshine of the day from a boat in the middle of the sea is something unique that you have to do at least once in your life.

If you choose this boat trip around Cala Bassa and Cala Comte, selecting the option of sailing in the afternoon you will enjoy the end of the day while you bathe in the spectacular waters of Ibiza as the sun turns the turquoise water into a pair of silver with orange reflections. Spectacular!

Formentera has no airport, so the only way to get there is by boat. You can buy a ticket on the ferry (with Baleària) or you can get there on a boat that will allow you to stop for a swim along the way, enjoy the views and have the best means of transport you can have on this little island: the boat.

If you choose a trip to Formentera you'll spend the whole day sailing, you'll get to the best beaches and you'll be served lunch on board the boat. You can read more in my article about the best excursions to Formentera from Ibiza. Once on the island, you can disembark and have free time to rent a motorbike or bike and explore part of the island on your own.
