This palace was built during the Nasrid dynasty in the 14th century and is considered one of the finest examples of Islamic architecture in the world. It is situated on top of a hill, where you will have spectacular views of Granada and also have the breeze coming from the Darro River and the Sierra Nevada.
It is worth noting that the Alhambra was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984 and, as one of Spain's top attractions, it is advisable to book in advance as it is a must-see for any lover of Islamic art .
The Alhambra consists of several rooms. The most famous is undoubtedly the Patio de los Leones, as well as the Charles V Palace, which was added later in the 16th century.
