Enjoy a full-day excursion to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe from Bilbao, located approximately 45 minutes from the city.

You will have 2 hours to get to know the island and to enter for free and visit one of the most historic hermitages in the Basque region.

This temple holds anecdotes of ancient pirates and covens, and has been the setting for "Rocadragon" in Game of Thrones.

You can climb narrow stairs from the chapel to the top of the rocky island for photos and lovely views of the surrounding landscape.

In addition, you will make two important stops where you can visit other places and areas of interest such as:

  • Puerto Viejo Bermeo: you will have a 30-minute guided tour of the fishing village, its port and the beautiful fishermen's houses with a medieval feel.
