General admission to La Sagrada Familia starts at around 34€ and general admission to Park Güell is around 16€. So at first you might think that buying separate tickets might be better, but if you take a look at what these basic tickets offer, you'll immediately notice the difference.

The general admission tickets to the Sagrada Familia do not include, for example, the climb to the towers from where you have spectacular views and the general pass to Park Güell has no guide to guide you on what you see.

To get these extra services, the entrance fee to the Sagrada Familia is almost €40 and the Park Güell ticket is €25. For the approximate €65 that it would cost to buy both tickets separately, you can buy one of the combined ticket options and, in addition, get not only an audio guide in Spanish to show you both places, but also transfers between the two monuments. Either way, ideally you should go to the Sagrada Família in the morning, preferably first thing in the morning (it opens at 9am) because, although you won't have to wait in line for this entrance ticket, it will be much more pleasant to see the inside of the church without the crowds. With Park Güell, however, my advice is to go at sunset around 18:30, as from its famous caldera you will have privileged views and, if you come in summer, the temperatures in the park will be more pleasant.

This way, you will be able to organise your trip to Barcelona much better and save some money without having to give up getting to know in depth these two works of art by Gaudí. You're free to choose the dates and times that suit you best, and you'll also have access to all the facilities and an audio guide at each site.

If you have come to visit Barcelona in 1 day and you have just enough time, this type of ticket could be the solution for you as they not only offer you access to the basilica and Park Güell but also organise the whole visit and transfers so you can do both visits during the day in approximately 4 to 6 hours.

The surroundings of Park Güell are in a beautiful residential area in Barcelona and also offer a great gastronomic offer more intimate and rustic. If you finish your visit of the combined tickets in this beautiful and special park, I would like to leave you with two restaurant options for you to consider.

However, you can avoid all this hassle of metros, buses and combinations if you book one of the tours with a combined ticket to both monuments, as the transfers are included in the price.

This way, not only do you avoid the cost of public transport, but you'll also travel comfortably and in air-conditioned comfort. Something that, I assure you, in summer in Barcelona you'll be grateful for.

The exterior alone is worth a visit. Its strong influence of nature intermingles with Christian symbols, so that it appears to have a leafy, organic façade with a total of 12 towers that give it impressive dimensions.

Although it is not finished, you can enter inside and see the chapel, which is almost like entering the author's mind. The way he plays with shapes and heights is unique.

Park Güell

Park Güell was commissioned by Eusebi Güell and is one of Gaudí's most important projects. The artist wanted to create a fusion between the nature of the park and its characteristic forms and sculptures. Thus, the famous mosaic salamander, the large terrace with views over the whole city, the forest of columns and the passageways made of sculpted columns have remained as landmarks of Barcelona.

Visiting Park Güell is an experience for the senses, as you will feel like you are inside a fantasy set, where colour and shapes play with you.

The best advice I can give you if you are planning your trip to Barcelona and you want your visit to Sagrada Familia and Park Güell to be enjoyable and unforgettable is to book your combined tickets well in advance and avoid coming during the high season.

Barcelona is a city full of tourist attractions, good weather and gastronomy. It is logical that everyone wants to come and visit it but, precisely because of this, during the busiest months of the summer, all of Barcelona's points of interest end up overcrowded.

If you want to avoid finding the basilica and park packed with tourists from all over the world and temperatures above 35ºC, I recommend you come to Barcelona in June or September; the weather will be pleasant but you'll find the city less crowded.
