How much does it cost to swim with sharks at the Barcelona Aquarium?

L'Aquàrium offers two options:

1- Dive with the sharks. For 175 € people over 8 years old can dive into the shark tank protected by a cage for 3 hours where they will experience their first diving adventures under the guidance of experts.

2-Divewith sharks. Are you ready to be a diver for a day and come face to face with one of the most powerful predators in the ocean? For 300 €, divers with a valid diving licence will be able to dive surrounded by more than 15 sharks, turtles, jellyfish, manta rays and other marine species. This activity allows you to take up to two companions to the aquarium with free entry. While L'Aquàrium gives you souvenirs of the activity, your family or friends will watch your diving skills.

ImportantTo practise this activity, divers with a valid diving certificate must meet one of the following requirements:

• Age between 10 and 15 years old. They must have a signed parental authorisation and be accompanied by their legal guardian.
• Age between 16 and 17 years old. They must be accompanied by their legal guardian.
• Must be over 18 years of age.

In no case will it be necessary for the guardian to dive with their ward.

How much does it cost to sleep with sharks at the Barcelona Aquarium?

Yes, as you read it, L'Aquàrium offers a night at the aquarium, an ingenious activity that allows children between 8 and 12 years old to spend the night at the aquarium from 81 € per person.

The sleepover will allow children to sleep in the Oceanarium, in front of the sharks. They will be able to see what these fish and 8,000 other species in the aquarium do, as well as witness the morning activities at L'Aquàrium and much more.

L'Aquàrium Barcelona in support of children's education has prepared a series of experimental workshops where pre-school and primary school children will take part in fun activities to immerse themselves in marine life, its preservation, types of species, physiognomy and behaviour. For only €10.7 per child, schools and the aquarium organise enriching activities with up to 30 participants for 45 minutes.

The Barcelona Aquarium also has a proposal for students at ESO, Bachillerato and Ciclos Formativos levels. For only 11.2 € groups of up to 25 students will learn the basics of diving, apart from the study of marine ecosystems for 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The Education Department of L'Aquàrium de Barcelona offers high school students a course that emphasises the use of marine themes, especially the Mediterranean Sea. For only 50 €, students interested in doing research work related to the marine ecosystem can take this 3-meeting course.

During the 2 hours of each session, participants will have access to audiovisual resources related to the ecosystem under the sea, as well as interviews with experts in marine biology at the aquarium.

Children between the ages of 3 and 12 will experience their birthday as an adventure at the bottom of the sea. Groups of 10 to 25 children can be included in each party. The price of the birthday party depends on the number of children and the day of the celebration.

• From Monday to Thursday the entrance fee per participant will be 30€.
• On weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) the entrance fee per participant will be 35€.

For 65€ youngsters from 8 to 14 years old develop their activities as aquarists at L'Aquàrium de Barcelona. For 7 hours, groups of 5 to 15 participants meet at the aquarium and, under the guidance of internal staff, share the activities on the premises. A day as an aquarist promotes sensitivity to the marine ecosystem in order to recognise its importance and the appropriate way to preserve it.
