Lisbon Luz Stadium and SL Benfica Museum Guided Tour

Private guided tour of the Estadio da Luz and the Benfica Museum in Lisbon

You will tour the Estádio da Luz and the Benfica Museum in Lisbon from start to finish, following in the footsteps of the real S.L. Benfica players. You will have time to enter exclusive places, sneak into the dressing rooms, walk through the players' tunnel and see significant details in the Benfica Museum.

The home of Sport Lisboa e Benfica was in search of a modernisation and in 2001 architect Damon Lavelle took on the project with the firm Populous, the same firm behind Johannesburg's Soccer City Stadium, Kazan Stadium and Sochi's Central Olympic Stadium, 3 landmark arenas.

The result is an architectural jewel, with a reinforced concrete structure and a metal roof covered with polycarbonate that gives priority to natural light, giving rise to its name: Estádio da Luz or Stadium of Light. This space is not only visually imposing from a distance, but the panoramic views offer an excellent perspective from every angle of the stands.

The project was completed on the eve of Euro 2004, in time for some 65,000 spectators to take their seats in the stadium.

During the tour, you will explore the stands, changing rooms and the pitch, as well as enter the Benfica Cosme Damião Museum and see iconic details of the team such as its trophy room. You will also find a pavilion, a shopping area, restaurants and the official Benfica shop.

Recommended if... you're interested in following the careers of S.L. Benfica's players. This iconic stadium offers a unique experience that combines history, architecture and football excitement.
