Step by Step
Join this 4-hour tour of Marsaxlokk and the Blue Grotto in Malta. During the activity, you will be accompanied by an expert guide, who will teach you many interesting facts about the history, flora and fauna of the area.
You will start your tour from your hotel, from where you will embark on a journey to the south coast of the island to discover the fascinating Blue Grotto. This set of captivating marine caverns, located west of Wied iz-Zurrieq harbour and close to the islet of Filfla, will offer you a vision of colourful shades of blue, the result of the reflection of the sun's rays on the water.
Some of these caves also glow with the phosphorescent colours of the underwater flora, while others plunge you into deep shades of blue. If the weather conditions are favourable, don't hesitate to take the opportunity to go on an exciting 25-minute boat tour of the caves (price not included), which will immerse you even more in the magic of this unique place.
After marvelling at the Blue Grotto, your journey will take you to Marsaxlokk, a picturesque village that is home to a rich fishing tradition and a vibrant market, filled with the aroma of fresh produce. Here you can explore a wide variety of local produce, from freshly caught seafood to honey, fruit jams, wine and artisan products. Take your time to explore this charming corner at your own pace before being driven back to the original starting point in Valletta.
