Step by Step

This experience includes a visit to the markets of Venice and a private cooking class with tasting of local specialities. It lasts approximately 5 hours and is perfect for any cooking enthusiast.

The Venetian markets are the perfect place to shop before preparing lunch or dinner. The most famous is undoubtedly the Rialto Market. Founded in 1097, it is one of the most important and oldest in Italy and houses a famous fish market (Pescaria) and stalls with fresh fruit and vegetables (Erbaria).

The experience allows you to taste the cuisine of Venice, influenced as much by the sea and the lagoon as by the products of the hinterland, which is reflected in the most famous local recipes:

  • Sarde in saor: marinated sardines in sweet and sour sauce.
  • Risotto de gò: creamy rice made with a fish typical of the Venetian lagoon.
  • Baccalà mantecato: dried and salted cod that is cooked and then mixed with milk until it acquires a creamy consistency.
  • Fritole: small sweet fritters traditionally prepared for Carnival.

A welcome aperitif, wine, water and coffee are included in the activity.
