It took 600 years to build, and is nowadays one of the largest churches of Christian worship in the world. It has a surface area of 11,000 square metres and a seating capacity of up to 40,000 people .

It is one of the most representative constructions of the Gothic style, and has a rooftop terrace from which you can enjoy some of the best views of Milan. On clear days, you can even see the Italian Alps .

  • Teatro alla Scala: It was erected during the second half of the 18th century, and since then, it has been the main opera house of the Milanese city . Of neoclassical style, it has been rebuilt and renovated many times, until it has the current design. It has a capacity of more than 2,000 people and, like many theatres of the time, it also served as a casino during the 19th century.
  • The Last Supper: This work, by Leonardo Da Vinci, is considered one of the greatest paintings in the history of art. It is currently housed in the Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie, a Renaissance and Gothic church that was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980.

During the tour you will learn many interesting facts about the painting. You will discover why the Duke of Milan commissioned the painting from Da Vinci, and the importance it had in the history of art and the Italian Renaissance.

I loved seeing the Teatro La Scala. The theatre itself is already a great work of art, I'm going to try to see a play in person.

The Duomo of Milan is incredibly beautiful, every detail was done with so much care that I can't imagine how much time it would have taken.

The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is too elegant, I've never seen a gallery like it.
