Step by Step
Travel through the hills on a tour of the best of Tuscany from Florence. You will spend the whole day touring the main towns of the area, such as Pisa, Siena and San Gimignano, and moving between them in a comfortable air-conditioned coach.
From early in the morning, the expert local guide who will be with you all day long will be waiting for you to start the tour. He will take advantage of both the bus rides and the visits to the cities themselves to tell you everything you need to know about the history of the different stops along the itinerary.
Siena, the medieval jewel of Tuscany, will welcome you with its picturesque streets that will lead you to the main square, the Piazza del Campo, the Torre del Mangia or the Duomo di Siena. Choose the all-inclusive option to enjoy a guided tour of the city of approximately 1 hour and the entrance to the Cathedral of Palma. If you do not choose this option, you will have that free time to explore the city at your own pace.
After the visit to Siena, the bus will take you to a family-run winery or a traditional restaurant for a 3-course lunch to recharge your batteries. In addition to typical dishes of the local gastronomy, the lunch also includes a tasting of local wines.
On another of the emblematic hills is Gimignano, known as the medieval Manhattan because of its 13 towers. You will have free time to wander around the town and enjoy sights such as the Piazza della Cisterna, the Collegiata di Santa Maria Assunta and the Duomo. There will also be time to stop at the belvedere and enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside.
Once in Pisa , the highlight of the tour will be the visit to the famous Leaning Tower. You will visit the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, the iconic Piazza dei Miracoli and the Duomo di Pisa, known for its impressive Romanesque architecture.
On the way back to Florence, you can enjoy the wonderful scenery as you relax on the return bus ride.
