In the land of fire and ice, natural hot springs abound, with the Blue Lagoon being the jewel in the crown. Locals believe that this is one of the best things to see and do in Reykjavik, especially in winter when the cold is harsh.
There are many ways to visit the Blue Lagoon and admire the surrounding landscape. That's why I'm going to show you some of my favourite tours to discover Iceland's most famous hot springs.
1. Excursion to the Blue Lagoon from Reykjavik by bus

This fun excursion departs from Reykjavik and heads to the Blue Lagoon. It's a bus trip where you'll arrive at the lagoon and enjoy the facilities at your leisure. The excursion lasts approximately four hours.
You can request to be picked up at your hotel or at a nearby location, as many hotels do not allow buses to reach their premises. When you arrive at the lagoon, you will notice that there are pools for men and women, and you will also see beautiful spots for incredible photographs, such as small waterfalls and other similar landscapes.

The Fagradalfsjall volcano is one of the most important in Iceland. Visiting it during winter is one of the spectacles you cannot miss and should definitely include among the best tours to discover Iceland's volcanoes from Reykjavik.
This hike is even more special because after walking through the snow, you can enjoy a refreshing thermal bath. During this walk, you will also see some moss-covered lava fields and other natural attractions in Iceland. The end of the walk is the most relaxing part of all, when you arrive at the Blue Lagoon, one of the best lagoons near Reykjavik.

The Reykjanes Peninsula is one of the most attractive places to visit in Iceland, as it is home to the most frequently erupting volcanoes and therefore the freshest lava fields on the island. The Blue Lagoon is also located here.
During this experience, which is one of the best excursions and getaways from Reykjavik, you will have the opportunity to take an exciting hike through places where you can still see fresh volcanic lava surrounded by moss. 7. Reykjavik tour and comfort ticket to the Blue Lagoon

This is one of my favourite tours because it gives you the opportunity to get to know Iceland's capital up close before going to relax a little at the Blue Lagoon. Before heading straight to the hot springs, this is one of the best tours in Reykjavik, as you get to know the city in the company of a history expert.
Among the most interesting sites you'll see in Iceland's capital are the Harpa opera house, the city church and, of course, its picturesque streets. After touring the city and soaking up its history and culture, the bus will take you to the Blue Lagoon where you can take a dip in the 40ºC thermal waters.
