A professional guide will accompany you during this experience that lasts around three and a half hours for a small group to get to know one of the most important attractions in the world. A bus will pick you up at the port of Piraeus and transfer you there and back.

The Acropolis was built in the 5th century BC, during the Golden Age of Athens, and served as the centre of religious and cultural life in ancient Greece. It is located on a hill overlooking the Greek capital and is considered one of the most iconic monuments in the world, as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

During the guided tour, you will be able to visit some of the other most important s ights of the city, such as:

  • Temple of Zeus: an ancient temple located in Athens (Greece), built in the 6th century BC on the site of an earlier temple. It was dedicated to Zeus, the king of the Greek gods.
  • Parthenon: temple dedicated to the goddess Athena, located on the Acropolis. It is known for its impressive size, intricate carvings and stunning marble columns.
  • Temple of Dionysus: Ancient Greek theatre located on the Acropolis. Dedicated to the god Dionysus, patron saint of theatre and wine, it was built in the 5th century BC and hosted tragedies, comedies and festivals.

It is worth noting that to access the Acropolis you will have to pay the entrance fee to the guide, as it is not included in the booking.

You will also have free time on this walking tour to have lunch on your own and experience the Athenian atmosphere in the historical neighbourhoods of Plaka and Anafiotika.

    I was a bit disappointed with the visit to the Acropolis, but for the other places I have absolutely nothing to criticise. It was a very complete experience in Athens, a very good tour with lots of places to see.
