Things to Do in Disneyland Paris in 3 Days

Disneyland Paris | ©Yaopey Yong

Disneyland Paris has two theme parks, so if you are lucky enough to go for three days, I recommend that you spend the first two days in Disneyland Park and the third and last day visiting Walt Disney Studios. It will be an intense three days, but if you time it right, you will have enough to fully immerse yourself in the whole Disney universe.

Book your multi-day ticket for Disneyland and don't hesitate to follow the schedule I indicate. I assure you that if you follow it you will see everything you need to see comfortably and in good time.

Day 1: See Main Street, Frontierland and Adventureland, at Disneyland Park

Disneyland Park opened to the public in the early 1990s and is Europe's most popular theme park with almost nine million visitors a year. It is open every day of the year and is divided into different themed zones. Ideally, you should buy your Disneyland ticket in advance and spend the first day visiting Main Street, Frontierland and Advetureland.

  • Main Street USA: This is the main area that connects all the sections of the park. Galleries, shops, carriages, trams, restaurants and cafés. No detail is missing. A journey back in time to the early 20th century.
  • Frontierland: In the purest American style, in Frontierland you will be immersed in a western movie with its cowboys and Indians. Big Thunder Montain or the haunted house are some of the most popular attractions in this area of the park.
  • Adventureland: Caves, pirate ships or tree houses await you in one of the most adventurous and favourite areas of Disneyland.

Traveller's tip

If you go to Disneyland Paris for three days I recommend you spend the first two days at Disneyland Park and the third at Walt Disney Studios.

Take a trip back in time in the Discovery Arcade.

The Discovery Arcade is a journey back in time where you can see incredible scale models of various inventions. It's also a great place to have a coffee or buy a souvenir of your trip. But you'll have time for the latter later.

After exploring Main Street U.S.A., don't hesitate to head to Frontierland. In this area, one of the most popular attractions is Big Thunder Mountain, a 22-metre-high roller coaster that reaches a top speed of 60 kilometres per hour. The approximately one-kilometre-long ride through the interior of a steep mountain is quite an adventure.

From my point of view, this attraction is worth the entrance fee to Disneyland.

Get to know all the mysteries hidden in the haunted house.

Another of the attractions that I liked the most at the entrance to Disneyland was Phantom Manor, one of the attractions with the most history at Disneyland Paris. An excitingly terrifying experience and a must on your trip. On this guided tour through the haunted house of the Ravenswood family you will learn all the ins and outs of the family, as well as the darkest stories featuring spirits and ghosts. Did Henry Ravenswood have anything to do with the disappearance of his daughter's suitors?

After a first day full of adventure, you're sure to be eager to dive into Disneyland Paris for a second day. In this case, I recommend you to focus on Discoveryland and Fantasyland, two of the most opposite areas of the park as far as their theme is concerned.

  • Discoveryland: In this area, the world of Star Wars and intergalactic journeys have a special role and you will be able to enjoy the Star Wars roller coaster and Buzz Lightyear's sabre game.
  • Fantasyland: This is an area which, as its name suggests, is characterised by magic and fantasy. Sleeping Beauty's castle, the mad hatter's teacups and Alice's Labyrinth are some of the main attractions in this section.

After a morning spent touring the universe and being the protagonist of your own sci-fi movie, I recommend you take a lunch break before heading to the last area of the park you have left to explore, Fantasyland. For this, you can opt for Auberge du Cendrillon, a French restaurant that nods to the fairy tale of "Cinderella"; Au Challete de la Marionette, a restaurant where you can enjoy burgers or roast chicken and immerse yourself in the world of Pinocchio; or Pizzeria Bella Notte, an Italian bistro that will remind you of "Lady and the Tramp".
