Finally, I don't recommend adding Macao Beach to your list of things to do with kids in Punta Cana as the waves can be a bit rough, especially if the kids can't swim. Some people even go to Macao Beach for surfing because of the waves.

To visit Macao Beach on your own you need to take a taxi. If you do this you won't be able to make stops along the way, or maybe you will, but you will have to pay a bit more to your driver. Keep in mind that a taxi ride can cost an average of €30. You also have the option of hiring a car and having a little more freedom in your travels.

However, my advice is to do one of the excursions I recommended in previous sections. They not only help you get to the beautiful Macau Beach, but also give you an extra experience.
